Impromptu Photos before Church (February)

This was before Hanna cut her hair!  We have photos scheduled for April 17th, before Hanna's surgery and hopefully in Easter outfits.  I don't have many pictures of them together so I am hopeful we can capture the perfect shot!

Where have the the last two months gone?

I can't believe that I haven't posted since January.  I was tracking about 5 posts per month prior to February, and then all of a sudden life went into warp speed.  We are all doing great.  I promise to download some photos soon and post.  I have traveled a few times in the last few months, Davis started playing soccer on Thursdays instead of Saturday mornings, Hanna was evaluated for speech therapy and UNC has scheduled her fistula repair for April 25th.  Vince continues to be the best husband and father any wife and family could ask for!

We did take a mini family vacation to the Great Wolf Lodge in March with our friends, the Matthews.  That was fun.  The kids had a blast!  Hanna didn't enjoy the slides like I thought she would.  She is our child that lives life to the fullest and doesn't seem to slow down to consider consequences, yet she was not a fan of the slides.  Davis, our cautious, and deliberate child tried everything without hesitation.  Just goes to show you, kids keep you on your toes.

Go ahead, jump on the couch.  We are on vacation!

The crew on the elevator heading down to check out the water park on Friday night.
  What Davis does, Hanna does.

Hanna holding on to Vince tightly, she wasn't loving the water falls.

Underneath another water fall.  Just thought the photo turned out pretty cool.

Hanna and Davis getting Vince with the jet ski water guns.

Pool time fun.

Makes a momma's heart melt...two tuckered out kiddos.

Howling like a wolf, compliments of the restaurant waitress that spilled water on Davis.  He handled it like a champ.

I hope spring slows down just a bit...I can't stand the thought of feeling like the weeks have flown by so fast.  We plan to build a border around our small "garden" tomorrow.  Davis requested we plant apples, pears and watermelon.  Yeah...we had to explain that two require trees and that would take up too much yard and watermelons need lots of dirt.   We agreed that we will let Papa Hall plant them for us, he usually marks some in the garden with Davis' name on them each year.  Davis gets a kick out of that.

Vince is heading to the practice round of the Masters on Tuesday and Wednesday.  He is thrilled as he has put his name in the lottery for 6 years now.  He is going with three friends from work.  Unfortunately, I am traveling next week (poor timing, that's for sure) but as usual, my mom comes in and saves the day.  We are so lucky to have her and that she is so willing to help out.

It's a mommy first!  Having your child cut their own hair.  Yep, it was Hanna!  She was spending the night at Oma's and mom found the strand of hair on the floor.  Of course, it was right in front.  Nice batch of hair standing straight up from being so short.  Gotta love it.

Davis is almost through his third quarter at school.  I can't even stand the thought of him starting 1st grade in July.  Seriously.  Where did kindergarten go?  He is reading like crazy.  He simply amazes me with how much he is reading...he makes a momma proud!

Sorry for the lack of posts recently.  I will try to put pictures up this weekend (fingers crossed) and I hope to do better for the remainder of April.
