Happy 5th Birthday, Hanna

Yes, it has been a while since I posted.  My apologies for that for our loyal blog fans.  Mom has been quite busy traveling a bit to work (international actually, so the days away are longer and time spent catching up once you are home is longer too).

With a new school year comes lots of scheduling changes, but we are keeping up thankfully.  Hanna had a birthday party with a bounce house at our house this year.  We celebrated with family and friends, most were from Primrose.  She is so social and loves to play anytime she gets the chance.  Attached are a few photos of her on the big day.

She is doing so great and I thank God everyday to have her in our family.  Happy Birthday, Hanna!  I think it was a success.

Beach Week 2012

Another beach week comes to an end.  We always count down the days to when we leave and the last day of vacation always comes too soon.   We always end the week with lots of memories, full bellies, laughs and photos.  Here are a few of my favorite photos from the trip.

Back to our normal routine tomorrow, glad to have it!

Golf One Day, Tennis the Next

The title says it all.  Vince and Davis have a new agreement.  They go and play tennis after dinner every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Vince plays Tennis with his friend on Tuesday.  These photos were taken in my parent's neighborhood.  I have to tell you, I think he was born with a natural athletic ability.

And well, Hanna-  as usual, happy to do whatever Davis wants to do.  So sweet!

Is that who I think it is?

Yep!  It sure is.  Our successfully completed first grader, starting second grade on Monday and our confident swimmer.  He has been able to swim for two years, but the confidence starting to head in the right direction at the end of last summer.  And well this year, you can't keep the fish out of the water!  I am so proud of him.  The fun and summer memories have only begun for him.  Guess its time to join a pool.

London

I had a work trip scheduled for June 11-18th to the UK and since its quite rare to have a weekend stay (in fact, can't recall one since I have been traveling) I decided to see if Vince could tag along.  Turns out all the stars were aligned and it worked out!  Thanks to my wonderful parents willingness to watch the kids and Vince's manager being flexible to working an alternate schedule for a few days.  It was a nice week/weekend.  We saw most of London, did a little gambling, and was able to visit Stonehenge.  Anyone who says Stonehenge is just a big pile of rocks hasn't seen it.  Simply Amazing.  Beautiful.  I found myself just starring and short on words.

Beautiful Day

Today was just one of those days.  Not a thing in the world to complain about, just blessings abound.  BEAUTIFUL weather.  Nothing on the calendar (other than church).  A few hours of alone time to get a pedicure followed by family time at the golfing range.  Davis had a blast.  Hanna had more fun finding rocks.
Davis is using some old clubs Vince had that he cut down for him a few years back.  He is almost too tall for them now.

Clearly, Hanna is using Vince's putter.  Putting was her second favorite after the rocks.  Mainly because there were small flags in the holes.

Spring Fling

Friday night was Spring Fling at Hanna's preschool.  It's a fundraiser event where the school raises money for Make-a-wish foundation.  There were lots of activities.  Pony rides, photo booths, games, dance-a-thons, food, face painting and braided hair.  If you saw her at church today, you know what I am talking about.  It was a good family night out.  The weather couldn't have been better either.

Donut on a rope.  The trick is you can't use your hands.  It was tricky and lots of fun!

Silly!
